EyeQ is built for eye care practices with fail-closed controls for protected health information. This page summarizes product posture for launch testing. It is not a certification, attestation, or compliance claim.
What EyeQ does today
- Server-side AI only. API keys stay on the server.
- Default AI mode keeps patient-identifiable data out of vendor prompts until readiness gates pass.
- Patient-specific AI stays disabled for a practice until vendor BAAs and PHI readiness checks complete.
- AI drafts require provider review. EyeQ does not diagnose or auto-sign notes.
- Patient messaging is portal-only in this phase. SMS and email messaging stay off.
- Sandbox and demo data can be marked synthetic / test-only for simulation.
What EyeQ does not claim
- Not HIPAA compliant as a blanket product claim.
- Not ONC certified.
- Not FDA cleared.
- No fake live Google publishing or live clearinghouse submission.
